A new decision is being taken on SSC and HSC exams. The authorities are thinking of postponing next year’s SSC and equivalent exams. The education boards have planned to hold the SSC exam after Eid-ul-Fitr, which is about two months behind schedule, in April. And if the SSC exam is postponed, the HSCO will also be delayed. In that case, this exam may be held after Eid-ul-Azha. This information has been learned from Dhaka Education Board sources.

The education boards had started preparing for the SSC exam assuming that the exam will be held next February. To that end, selection exams are now being conducted in schools. It has also been announced that form filling will begin from December 1. In the meantime, the boards are thinking like this. Last year, this exam started from February 15.

An official of the Dhaka Education Board said that due to the recent political unrest, studies in educational institutions have been affected. For this, it has not been possible to complete the curriculum properly. Again, there are applications from students and guardians. Therefore, to avoid any problems with the exam in February, the SSC exam has been postponed to be held after the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.

And the HSC exam has been planned to be held after the holy Eid-ul-Azha. In that case, the HSC and equivalent exams have been planned to be held in June. Depending on the sighting of the moon, next year’s holy Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated on March 31. And the holy Eid-ul-Azha may be on June 7 next year.

Usually, the SSC exam was held in early February and the HSC exam in early April. But due to the deadly coronavirus infection situation, the entire academic calendar has been disrupted since March 2020. The 2023 SSC and equivalent exams started on April 30. After that, the situation started to normalize from last year.
