The country’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $61 million in a week. Bangladesh Bank released this information on Thursday (November 21).
According to the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) accounting methodology BPM 6, the reserves increased by $61 million to $18.494 billion in a week. Currently, the total reserves including various funds are $24.27 billion.
Meanwhile, after paying two months’ bills of the Asian Clearing Union (ACU) last week, the foreign exchange reserves fell below $19 billion in mid-November.
