The Anti-Discrimination Employees Unity Forum has announced that it will make five secretaries who are friends of tyranny unwanted and stop them wherever they are found. The organization will surround the offices of the five secretaries and force them to resign. They have demanded that the friends of tyranny be removed from their jobs and the contracts of the officials employed on contractual basis be cancelled. The leaders of the organization will go to the Cabinet Division next Tuesday to achieve the above demands. 14 such decisions were taken at the organization’s meeting held on May 8.
These decisions were announced in a press release sent to the media on Saturday.
A press release signed by former secretary and president of the Anti-Discrimination Employees Unity Forum ABM Abdus Sattar said that the organization will file a case in the High Court against foreign nationals appointed to various government agencies, commissions, reform commissions and various positions in public administration. The Water Resources Secretary Md. Nazmul Ahsan, Agriculture Secretary Dr. Md. Imdad Ullah Mian, Cabinet Secretary (Coordination and Reforms) Zayeda Parveen, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Md. Mofidul Islam and Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Md. Tofazzal Hossain (currently in charge) have been declared undesirable. They will be resisted wherever they are found. It has been announced that the organization will surround the offices of the five secretaries in stages and force them to resign.
It also said that controversial officials employed on a contractual basis, corrupt people who are friends of the dictatorship are creating instability in the administration. They are involved in the trick of creating chaos in the country. The appointment of those employed on a contractual basis and friends of the dictatorship must be canceled. The leaders of the organization will go to the Cabinet Secretary’s office next Tuesday with this demand. The forum members will hold a black flag procession from the Press Club to Dainik Bangla at 11 am on May 15.
The notification said that three hundred supernumerary posts should be created for qualified officers from among the non-cadre assistant secretaries and personnel officers of the secretariat and promoted. All non-cadre employees working in the secretariat and field administration should be given ration facilities. The advisory committee on transfer and promotion for the ministries of public administration, home and foreign affairs should be abolished. If the committee is not abolished, strict programs will be given.
It said that corrupt Awami League joint secretaries and additional secretaries who were promoted before August 5 last year cannot be appointed as secretaries or heads of organizations. OSDs and any removed officers after August 5 cannot be appointed again. If they are given, legal action will be taken against the involved officers and their sponsors. After the July movement, 500 police station in-charge officers and 130 police superintendents have been attached to various departments. They should be dismissed immediately. They are conspiring against the government and the state by gathering in Dhaka. They should be given compulsory retirement or posted in remote areas of the country.
The notification also said that legal action should be taken against Joint Secretaries KM Ali Azam and Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed, who were involved in bribery in the appointment of Deputy Commissioners. In addition, the report of the investigation committee formed by 3 advisors should be made public. In the case of promotion, the NSI report should be refrained from being taken. Because, they were appointed during the dictatorship. The DGFI report is completely useless in the case of promotion in civil administration. It has been demanded that the report of the organization should not be taken in the case of promotion. The promotion review of 184 deprived officers of the 24th batch of BCS administration cadre should be completed quickly. The Deputy Commissioners (DCs) who have already been promoted as Joint Secretaries should be withdrawn and party-neutral officers of the 25th and 27th batches should be posted in their place.
