A rally and discussion meeting was held in Srimangal, Moulvibazar, on the school budget and union parishad budget.

The rally and discussion meeting was held at the Bharaura tea garden in Srimangal upazila on Sunday (July 20) morning.

The discussion meeting, organized by the non-governmental organization Mseda with the support of IID, was presided over by Mseda President Md. Mizanur Rahman Alam. The meeting was addressed by the organization’s Admin Officer Shirin Begum, Project Manager Aminur Rashid, Monitoring Officer Ripon Mridha, and others.

The meeting discussed issues such as safe drinking water, sports equipment, toilet facilities, children’s tiffin, stipend, chair tables, school library, safe transportation of children, special initiatives for disabled children, etc. in the school budget.

All those present were informed about the issues of tube well installation, agricultural development, irrigation, medical services, disaster relief, road construction and repair, women’s development activities, etc. in the Union Parishad budget.

Also, about a hundred people including Deepta Roy, assistant teacher of Bhaura Government Primary School, school students, guardians, men and women of tea gardens participated in the meeting and rally.
