The Advisory Committee on Government Procurement has approved a proposal to import two cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Singapore. This LNG will be purchased from Singapore’s Ganvor Private Limited for 1 thousand 289 crores 74 lakhs.

At that time, the advisor said that importance is being given to ensure that fuel does not become a problem in business.

According to the sources of the meeting, following the Public Procurement Rules, 2008, approval has been given to import two cargoes of LNG from the spot market through the quotation process from the companies that have signed the Master Sale and Purchase Agreement (MSPA). Out of this one cargo LNG from Singapore M/s Ganvor Singapore Pvt. In this case, the price of LNG per unit (MMBTE) is 13.57 dollars. Another cargo is being bought from the same company for Tk 649 crore 59 lakh 14 thousand 880. In this case, the price per unit is 13.77 dollars.
