This year’s HSC and equivalent exam results will be announced on October 15. At 11 o’clock the respective board will announce this result. But this time the result will not be declared centrally.

Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of Dhaka Education Board and President of Inter-Education Board Coordinating Committee, an association of chairmen of education boards, confirmed this information to the media on Monday evening. He said that according to the decision of the Ministry of Education, the Chief Advisor or Education Advisor will not inaugurate the results. Each board will publish the HSC result. Centrally the Board of Inter-Education will coordinate these and inform the media.

According to the decision, the results of HSC or equivalent examination will be determined based on the marks of SSC or equivalent examination (subject mapping) of the canceled examinations. In this process the marks obtained by a candidate in a subject in SSC, if that subject is in HSC, the entire marks obtained in SSC will be taken into consideration. And if there is a difference in subjects in SSC and HSC and equivalent examinations, the result will be published considering the marks as per subject mapping policy.

Board Chairman Tapan Kumar Sarkar said that we have experience in publishing results during the Corona period. The board has clear policies regarding expert committee, tabulation and midway cancellation of exams. The board will publish the result according to the policy. He also said that the student who studied science in SSC. There will be no difficulty in his case if he falls later. By giving an example, he said, in that case, the marks he got in the physics of science shows that he has taken urban policy instead of physics at the college level. We will coordinate the physics marks.

This time 1.45 lakh students participated in the HSC and equivalent exams of 11 boards. The exam started last June 30. But Sylhet board exam started on July 9 due to flood. There were six to seven exams before it was postponed due to the anti-discrimination student movement. The rest of the subjects had written and practical tests. The exams were scheduled to start from September 11 after several postponements. But on August 20, the government canceled the rest of the exams following the demands of the students.
