The current position of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has fled to India after resigning from the post of Prime Minister in the face of strong public anger on August 5, has created confusion. At present, the interim government has no definite information about his position, said the advisor on foreign affairs. Touhid Hossain.
He said this in response to the questions of journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (October 8).
The foreign adviser said, we could not be sure about the position of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We also looked into this in Delhi. No one could give confirmation.
Tauhid Hossain said, as you have seen in the media, we have also seen that he went to Ajman in Emirates. But we could not confirm.
Awami League leaders and activists staying in India are fleeing to other countries with travel passes. Regarding their return, the foreign adviser said that when the passport expires, a travel pass is issued to return to Bangladesh. It is not for going to any other country.
On the question of whether India sent Sheikh Hasina to another country under the pressure of the United States, the adviser advised the questioning journalist to inquire about the matter with the United States.
