Nine people have died of dengue fever in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of deaths from dengue has increased to 436 so far this year. 1,214 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue in a single day. This has increased the number of infected people to 84,368.

This information was given in a press release sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (November 21).

The release said that out of the 1,214 newly admitted to the hospital, 82 are in Barisal division, 94 in Chittagong division, 430 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 195 in Dhaka North City, 141 in Dhaka South City, and 117 in Khulna division. In addition, 91 new patients have been admitted in Rajshahi division, 39 in Mymensingh division, 14 in Rangpur division, and 11 in Sylhet division.

From January 1 to November 21 this year, a total of 84,368 people have been hospitalized due to dengue across the country. Of these, 62.90 percent are men and 37.10 percent are women. So far, 436 people have died from dengue. Of these, 50.70 percent are women and 49.30 percent are men.
