To maintain law and order, 4 BGB platoons have been deployed in the capital’s Shahbagh, Matsya Bhaban and Hotel Intercontinental areas. On the other hand, 6 BGB platoons have been deployed in Chittagong metropolis.
The information was confirmed through a BGB notification on Tuesday.
There are protest programs in Dhaka and Chittagong to protest the arrest of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Mancha spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari.
After the news of Chinmoy’s arrest spread on Monday, Sanatan followers started protests in Dhaka and Chittagong. Hundreds of Sanatans held a protest march at Cheragi More in Jamalkhan, Chittagong.
On the other hand, a protest demanding the same thing was also held in Shahbagh. At one stage of the protest, Sanatans alleged that it was attacked.
