At least 81 people have been killed in a terrorist attack in Nigeria’s northeastern Ube region. Many people are missing in this incident. Members of the country’s militant organization Boko Haram are suspected to be involved in the attack. News from AFP.
Abdul Karim Dangus, spokesperson of the Ube region police said, armed with various weapons including rifles, RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades), about 150 suspected Boko Haram members attacked 50 motorcycles. The attack took place last Sunday in a village named Mafa.
Local official Baluma Jalaluddin said at least 81 people were killed in the attack. 15 people were buried before the soldiers reached Mafa to recover the bodies. Many are missing in the attack.
