Shaistaganj Girls’ High School held a parent meeting to improve the quality of education. The assembly was held in the school’s auditorium meeting room on Monday (September 23) at noon.

Under the chairmanship of head teacher Md. Abidur Rahman and assistant head teacher Mohammad Jalal Ahmed, the parent assembly was attended by parents, class-teachers of about hundred students, parent members of the school management committee, journalist Syed Akhlaq Uddin Mansoor and Md. Makshud Ali.

Md. Abidur Rahman, the head teacher of the school, said in the assembly that the annual examination of sixth to ninth class will be held according to the short syllabus prepared by NTB. Among these, English 100 marks, Bengali Naivak, short essay in one word, compositional essay, visual reading will be conducted on 100 marks. They will be given 100 marks exam as before in all subjects.

The parent members of the school managing committee said to the parents of the students that the current government will conduct the examination according to the new syllabus. Students will no longer need to use mobiles. Their final exams are just two months away and in a very short period of time students have to focus on how to read again. It is also a matter of concern. However, the examination will be conducted according to the old curriculum from the previous curriculum. A good news for the students now. According to the new syllabus, the students will face some difficulty in conducting the exam. He thinks that if the examination is held by changing the old syllabus, the spirit of competition will be created among them as before.

Halima Khatun, Ali Haider Salim, Mir Ikhlachur Rahman, Mohammad Soeb, Azizur Rahman Liton and Md. Jamal Mia spoke among the class teachers in this gathering.

In order to improve the quality of education, daily parent gatherings will be held step by step till Thursday, September 26.
