Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Srimangal Sector and Srimangal Battalion distributed winter clothes to cold-stricken people in various border areas of Moulvibazar.

On Wednesday afternoon, Border Guard Bangladesh Srimangal Sector Sector Commander Colonel AHM Yasin Chowdhury inaugurated the winter clothes distribution program at Kurma border in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar.

46 BGB Commander Lt. Colonel ASM Zakaria and Srimangal Sector Additional Director Major ABM Shahriar Suman and 46 BGB Assistant Director Mohammad Jamal Hossain were present at the time. Other officers and BOP commanders of Srimangal Battalion, local public representatives and dignitaries were also present during the distribution.

On the first day of the program, the cold clothes were distributed among more than five hundred people in the border area.

46 BGB Assistant Director Mohammad Jamal Hossain said that blankets were distributed among the poor and needy people in the southern Gol Haor, Champa Roy and Sarishabil areas under the responsibility of BOP Kurma, Mokabil, Champa Roy and Sarishabil areas of Kamalganj Upazila under Moulvibazar District. He said that Border Guard Bangladesh has always stood by the people in improving the socio-economic and living standards of the poor and needy people in the border area and this continuity will continue in the future.
