Lohagarh (Narail) Representative //

3 people were killed in Maitkumra area in front of the shelter project of Lohagara Municipality of Narail (Guch village). One person was seriously injured in this incident.

The accident happened late on Tuesday night.

The deceased are Shamim Sheikh (30) son of Hemayet Sheikh of Maitkumra village of the municipality, Zia Biswas (40) son of Ramzan Biswas of the same village and Russell Molya (20) son of Jamal Molya of the same village. The injured person is Quinn Sheikh (35), son of Habibar Sheikh of the same village.

According to local sources, the body of deceased Russell’s grandmother was being carried home from the mosque on a cot for burial. When they reached Maitkumra area on Kalna-Narail-Benapole highway, a speeding truck coming from Lohagara direction hit the khatia bearers. 3 people were killed on the spot and one was injured.

Locals took the injured Queen Sheikh to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex and after first aid, he was sent to Narail Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment.

Lohagara police station OC Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the truth of the incident.
