Srimangal Municipality conducts campaign to ease traffic congestion

The Srimangal Municipality has conducted a campaign to ease traffic congestion and clear the sidewalks of encroachments in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.

On Sunday (January 5) afternoon, during the campaign led by Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer and Municipality Administrator Md. Islam Uddin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Salauddin Biswas, Srimangal Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan and Srimangal Municipality Executive Engineer Md. Zahirul Islam along with other officials of the municipality and administration were present.

Engineer Md. Zahirul Islam said that in order to keep the city free from traffic congestion and preserve its beauty, the municipality has evicted floating shops on various main roads and sidewalks including Station Road, Moulvibazar Road and Habiganj Road.

Srimangal Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Islam Uddin said that our objective is to protect the beauty of the city and ensure safe movement for pedestrians. Illegal shops occupying the sidewalk have been evicted.
