In response, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Secretary General said, “We have been in touch with the interim government of Bangladesh. Hopefully, an open and inclusive process to form the government will continue. A deadline will be announced soon for the restoration of democratic rule.

Farhan Haque said, ‘Yes, we are against all kinds of attacks on journalists, anywhere, for any reason. We are alarmed by the news of the attacks that have been published in Bangladesh.
