Today, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has taken 5 decisions, including making arrangements to quickly bring those involved in the killings that took place in July-August to suppress the movement of students.
These decisions were taken in a meeting with the officials of the Law and Justice Department at the Ministry of Law on Saturday. Adviser on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Asif Nazrul came to the secretariat for the first time after the swearing in of the interim government last Thursday night.
The remaining four decisions taken in the meeting are that the criminal cases which have been filed to suppress the movement of the students from July 1 to August 5 will be withdrawn within the next 3 working days.
Arrangements will be made to release the children and adolescents who are detained in the Child and Adolescent Development Center for false and harassing cases within the next 3 working days. Prompt withdrawal of false and harassing cases filed under Anti-Terrorism Act and Cyber Security Act will be taken.
16430 (Toll Free National Helpline Number of Government Legal Aid) of Law and Justice Department will be arranged to provide assistance in case of false and harassing cases.
